  • If you suffer from chronic diseases like leukemia and diabetes, dental implants may not be suitable for you due to slow healing after surgery.

  • If you are on antidepressants or antacid medications, these medications may also negatively affect implant placement.

• Have healthy gums and enough bone in the jaw to hold an implant. If you don’t have adequate jaw bone to have a dental implant, you may be able to get bone built up surgically (bone grafting) in the area needing the implant.

• ​Be comfortable with the surgical procedure to place dental implants.
